UNDESERVED

Love came down from high above

From heights beyond any human had known

In realms Pure, Noble, invisible

Sat the Holy One, the King Eternal, Immortal, Invincible

His Glory filled all the heavens

Streams of fire flowed from His Presence

The Lord, Majestic in Power and Splendor

Both in praise, worship, thanks- what great Dominion

His Glory dimmed the brightest stars

They all were shadows in His Light

His Power, unquestionably the Highest Might

What Majestic sight, what Grand Delight

Now, this is all too much for me

Why this Great One will care to see

A mortal, man, someone like me

So weak and pale, somewhat a flea

He looked upon all He had made

And settled for a human shade

What am I that You regard me?

A son of man, You visit him?

I am weak, You are All-Strong

You are All-Right, I’m oft wrong

You are Life, Substance, Creator

I am man, mortal, creation

Your Thoughts: Wisdom profound

My thoughts:  base, no words found

Your Ways, High: beyond the heavens

My ways…o Lord deliver me from these evils!

By all means, I did not deserve Your Love

But You came by Your Son, redemption’s Love

And captured my heart forevermore

Even till times with sin and death no more

For Love of me You gave Your Dearest

Forever, to You my Lord I leave the rest

Your Life in me to live without a care

Your Beauty to behold, how deeply Fair

You took that evil life away from me

And cast it right into the deep blue sea

Now for me, to live is Christ alone

I no more have a life of my own

You put Your Spirit inside of me

How great, Your Gift- Wonderful Seal

Your ageless Purpose You share with me

My long-blind eyes now clearly see.

It has been about You, my Lord, my God

Your Glorious Will and Purpose to perform

I could never have been a part, no matter how fast I’d run

Of this Glorious Bride made ready for Your Son
