THE AGONY OF PAIN AND THE TEMPTATION TO RECONSIDER GOD?

Jesus was well acquainted with grief and sorrow. He knew what it meant to be despised, oppressed and rejected; many threw His precious gifts in His face. He understood what it meant to be betrayed, brutally beaten, scorned and mocked. Jesus knew how it felt to be undermined and underestimated...The real question is whether or not we are capable of accepting the truth of what God has said while we go through brutal suffering and unimaginable pain.

Our Words vs JESUS’ WORDS: A Clash Of Experiences

Some people call the name "Jesus" as mere exclamation. Check the movies. Listen to the local conversations and you find out this is true. Some even call The Name in mockery. What about the weird combinations of words such as "holy shit" or "holy f*ck"? What do these words have in common? Could it be …

The “Independence” We Don’t Want

If there ever was a man who was deeply concerned about 'all-round-freedom' for the human race, this man was Jesus Christ. A great part of His ministry  was spent giving people freedom. Hundreds of years before His birth, a prophet spoke clearly about the purpose the Messiah will fulfill (Isaiah 61:1-3). Lord Jesus spoke these very words about Himself in Luke 4:18-19: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord." Lord Jesus did not take oppression lightly and whenever He saw a case, He was always willing to bring freedom to the oppressed. This is expressed clearly in Acts 10:38: "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him."

SEXISM, RACISM, DISCRIMINATION AND THE ULTIMATE BRIDGE

Jesus stood for the New Creature, a special breed, foreign to earth and made in Heaven. This species run on divine fuel, with innate power to unify both heaven and earth. They are the light of the world that is plunged in the darkness of hate and prejudice. They are the salt of the earth, the peace makers, bridging the gap between God and man and between man and man.

JESUS: MORE THAN THE LIFE GIVER

Jesus sat in the midst of a multitude, some persons were deeply engrossed in His words, others, mesmerized by His works. Apart from being human, nothing else about Him seemed human. He taught with such wisdom that the most learned in the nation marveled at His words and wondered what the source of His wisdom …

CORRUPTION, HYPOCRISY, THE WORLD AND THE BELIEVER’S STAND

Jesus came. Born in a manger, farm animals around. He was raised by a carpenter, not one of great social status. He associated with the lowly. He knew needs, he knew suffering he knew poverty, but above all, He knew the Father. Knowing the Father was sufficient. This meant every need would be met, every mountain will be made a plain and every valley will be filled...

“LADY, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL”

With the present fashion trends, the definition of 'beauty' seems to be undergoing some serious reviews. In the country of my residence, the rate at which new fashion trends are adopted and deposed for new ones is unprecedented. Fashion styles which we may have never imagined as acceptable due to our cultural backgrounds, have become very well assimilated into the system and even more radical styles are gaining popularity with every passing day...

THE NARROW WAY: YOU GO THERE CARRYING YOUR CROSS

There is one thing that happens as the weight of the cross presses down on the saints: they become more like Christ. You can trust Jesus that the cross you carry is just the right size for you. He is a carpenter and making crosses is just a part of His work. He would never give you more than you are able to bear and He is there with you and in you to help you all the way...
